Veteran Hector Antonio

When we met Hector, he was living in another facility for homeless veterans. The founder of Ode to Our Warriors started it after seeing the living conditions at this place. It felt like a prison. He knew we had to do better for our veterans. Hector had a series of unfortunate events that took place and just needed a little help, guidance, and support to find his way. Like all the vets, he struggled to get his VA benefits which OTOW assisted with. Hector was given a vehicle to get him to his job interviews and later his job.  Hector took the money management class that OTOW offers. Hector expressed that no one had ever taken the time to teach him about money management and this was a beneficial and crucial skill for his success. The guidance given from OTOW improved Hectors work ethic and he has earned promotions in the workplace. Hector now has a steady job, is active in church, is happily married, and has built a house.
