We provide a safe and comfortable home to help our veterans get back on their feet

Unlike many organizations we want our veterans to feel at home. Our place is not a facility or a prison. It is a home where we teach life and home skills to aid our veterans in transitioning back to civilian life.

Veteran Harold H “Butch”

Prior to OTOW, Butch was living under the interstate 4 overpass in Orlando, Florida. OTOW sent someone to pick him up and bring him to the OTOW house. Butch did not have much faith in humanity and did not trust people due to his past experiences. Butch weighed 400 lbs due to some health problems that he struggled with. He had been trying unsuccessfully for over three years to get his VA benefits to help him with his health issues. OTOW provided him with assistance to get his benefits. He was given transportation to get treatment for severe sleep apnea (which was a huge help for his health). With the support of OTOW, Butch worked hard and lost 115 lbs! Butch had also tried for years to get his wife that lived in the Philippine’s a green card. OTOW wrote letters on his behalf and he is now on track to bring his wife to the United States where they can finally live together. Butch has been such an asset to the OTOW family working as the house manager. He has embraced the OTOW as his family and has developed trust.
